Transient Beauty

A thing of beauty
is also an object of anxiety.
One part of mind adores the beauty,
the other part repents on its fragility.
One part says - Oh! its the only one, like none other.
The other part asks - will it go on?
The realization of its fleeting nature,
and the ensuing gloom- shadows the appreciation.
And in this perplexity,
the thing of beauty, passes into oblivion.
